Silvia Zayas (esp)
ES una artista nacida en León, 1978.
Trabaja en las artes escénicas, la coreografía expandida y el vídeo. Actualmente busca formas de trasladar el lenguaje fílmico documental a diferentes dispositivos performativos. Actualmente está realizando un doctorado en artes escénicas y cinematografía en la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Alguna de sus piezas son São Tomé Revisitado (2012) (Beca de Creación Artística MUSAC) y Parallax (2016), pieza escénica para luz y sonido, producida con ayuda del programa «Artistas en residencia» de CA2M y La Casa Encendida. Ha trabajado en colaboración con diferentes artistas y colectivos, como Declinación Magnética; El Desenterrador de Sofía Asencio, o Chus Domínguez y Nilo Gallego en el proyecto expositivo Laboratorio 987 (2012-2013), MUSAC.
Silvia Zayas is an artist born in León, 1978.
She works in performing arts, expanded choreography, and video. She is currently looking for ways to transfer the documentary filmic language to different performative devices. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in performing arts and cinematography at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. Some of her pieces are São Tomé Revisitado (2012) (MUSAC Artistic Creation Grant) and Parallax (2016), a scenic piece for light and sound, produced with the help of the «Artists in residence» program of CA2M and La Casa Encendida. She has worked in collaboration with different artists and collectives, such as Magnetic Declination; El Desenterrador by Sofía Asencio, or Chus Domínguez and Nilo Gallego in the exhibition project Laboratorio 987 (2012-2013), MUSAC.
